I want to use this part of the page to feature various local LGBTQ+ artists. Currently we are featuring Hope Salmonson! Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Hope is currently a Bachelor of Music student at Mount Allison University. Not only is Hope a great tuba player, she is also a fantastic composer! Hello! My name is Christina, although I am more affectionately known to my friends and girlfriend as Chrispy. I am a bisexual, nonbinary person originally from North Vancouver, BC, and currently residing in Newfoundland for school. I am about to begin a Masters in Music program, although I have worn many hats throughout my educational career including: concert technician, costume designer, and senior residence volunteer!
DISCLOSURE: I am not a counsellor! I am not trained professionally in any way as a counsellor or therapist! I am simply here to connect with other LGBTQIA+ youth in the maritime community, share helpful resources, point you in the direction of professionals and qualified teachers, and act as a support system for fellow LGBTQIA+ youth! Feel free to reach out to me for any reason but know that I will point you in the direction of counsellors/therapists if you need help with something more serious or beyond my reach of expertise.
